Welcome to the J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels. Our philosophy was to create non-profit Jewish funeral homes with greatly reduced pricing, dignity and superior service in the Apter family tradition (as our great grandfather did when he founded Philip Apter and Son in 1902). Our family has served the Jewish community for 110 years. Our mission is to serve and financially assist the Jewish communities of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties by lowering the cost and maintaining the dignity of the funeral, while donating to the Jewish community and working with all families to best provide them an affordable and memorable service
