I called for an estimate for a retaining wall and bush removal. It's a priority that I get this done, mainly because it's causing problems for my home. Bob came over several times to discuss the project and gave me an estimate based on what I originally wanted. I was set on using him, and expressed this to him. I changed my mind on the project to something he had suggested in the beginning. He took my idea and "tried" to call the brickyard. Apparently, they are sooo busy at the brickyard that they can't give him and estimate for brick, and he claims that he is a small customer to them and they pretty much serve their larger customers first. I gave him two weeks for an estimate, and called him. He told me that the brickyard only takes his name and says they will get back to him. I called and left a message stating that he should try another supplier. It's been several weeks... if not 2 months and still no estimate. I quit calling after 3 weeks or so because it was obvious he was not interested in the job and could not give me a courtesy call to say so. I've called him several times during the process, at least 3 or 4, when he has not called me back. A friend of mine knew I was looking for a contractor for the project and was going to recommend Erb to me before she knew I contacted him myself. He came with a good recommendation and was very willing to look at the project and discuss several times, which he did, but somewhere he dropped the ball. My friend was very sorry she was considering recommending Erb to me. I would not recommend him to anyone looking for answers and customer service. He may come recommended, but it's like pulling teeth to get a reply. If you don't have the patience, try someone else first.
