Dickson Public Works Department, located in Dickson, Tenn., is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various physical structures and facilities. It supervises various divisions, such as administration, sanitation, streets and storm water. The department operates an administration division that provides in-house planning, design and infrastructure improvement services. Its sanitation division is responsible for the collection of residential and commercial wastes. It also collects bulk-materials, including appliances, furniture, construction debris, fencing and railroad timbers. The street division provides snow and ice removal, street repairs, pavement marking, debris removal, leaf collection and storm water management services. The department has a storm water division that maintains storm drainage systems. Additionally, it repairs and replaces damaged structures and sections of storm drainage pipes.
