Hughes Road Elementary is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and enrichment programs. The school enrolls more than 740 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It administers special education programs, as well as operates a parent-teacher organization. The school also administers the English as a Second Language program. Hughes Road Elementary offers classes in science, physical education, art, music, language arts, mathematics and social studies. The school also provides reading and writing skills development classes. Hughes Road Elementary is governed by the Dickinson Independent School District (DISD), which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
