Central Elementary School is a part of the Dexter School District, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Central Elementary School serves more than 450 students in grades three through five. Its staff includes various teachers, teaching aides, counselors, librarians, nurses and Title I instructors. The school s academic curriculum includes courses in reading, math, language arts, social studies, science, spelling and writing. The school provides various extracurricular sessions in art and music activities and physical education programs. It also provides speech developmental programs and serves students with behavioral disorders and learning disabilities. In addition, it offers medical care and guidance and counseling services. Central Elementary School also provides food and transportation services, and it is located in Dexter, Mo.
