The checkout was quick and easy, the rental was fine, and the return exceptionally easy and convenient. The bus delivered me back to the airport and I had no problems checking in. Thanks!

Provided by YP.comI frequently travel on business to Detroit and find the team at National to be professional and always welcoming. The bus drivers always help me with my bag and staff at the Emerald Aisle greets me like a long-lost friend. That means a lot when you are away from home and family.

Provided by YP.comGreat service, love the Emerald Aisle, you get to pick a car that fits you and not have to worry about "how much more will this cost me".
There was only a couple minute wait for a shuttle bus, and they seamed to be running regularly even at 6 in the morning.

Provided by YP.comThe service at the Detroit Metro Airport is fantastic! We arrived in the Emerald Club lot and required two SUVs with heated seats because we were not used to the cold. Two of the attendants worked tirelessly to find us these two cars, running around in very cold temperatures and being extremely courteous in the process. If I could give them 6 stars for service, I would!

Provided by YPmobileAs always with emerald class, selection was as easy as walking up to a car and getting in. After I drove away I noticed cigarette ashes everywhere and it smelled like an ashtray. Almost crashed on highway when I went to use my windshield washers. They must have watered down the fluid and it was frozen. I checked the level when I stopped and the sprayers were also clear. They worked after it warmed up outside. My worst experience with them so far.

Provided by YP.comDTW facility was nice to deal with nice car and no whining about its a specialty car .. i say it specially because i am executive elite status so i can choose nicer cars which has only happened at this place. So 4+ starts for this facility
however at RDU facility they not nice often rude and their car are often not clean. i asked for a specific car and it was there but he said it will be extra which should not be, since i have rented the same car before without extra payment unfortunately the desk people are bad however the return people are nice. for RDU facility i would give 2.5 star.

After picking up my rental at the airport, discovered the back seat area was not cleaned...old food and trash still in plain sight. Other than that, the car was fine

Provided by YP.comI recently rented a vehicle for almost 2 months for business. I told the agent that I only wanted what was covered through my business account. Once I returned the vehicle and received my final invoice. I noticed that I was charged over 300 dollars for various fees. Make sure you read the fine print and over express your concerns. The car did run smoothly with out any issues.

Nice and friendly staff. Will try to locate a specific vehicle for you if what you are looking for is not in the pickup area. Clean vehicles and no problems from bus pickup thru return and transportation back to the airport.

Provided by YP.comTypically the selection is great, but Detroit was almost out of many cars. The selection was slim, but we still got a vehicle that was suitable. The service is always great. This, in my opinion, is the best car rental company and a great value!! :)

Provided by YP.comI don't know why every rental car company doesn't offer a service like the Emerald Aisle. I love picking out my car. I found a loaded Chrysler 300C in the mix. Great car, easy in and out. I will only rent from National from now on!

Provided by YP.comWe made a reservation for an infant carrier with our rental and called in advance to confirm one would be available. Yet when we arrived, we were told there weren't any on the premises. This is a problem because 1) National is putting children's lives in danger by not fulfilling their agreements 2) they made no attempt to notify me when it was clear they knew they had no car seats 3) Instead of sending someone out to buy or arrange to secure an additional car seat, the associate I spoke with suggested we drive to Walmart illegally without my child in a restraint. Furthermore, he told us that we were the third family who they did not have a car seat for THAT DAY. Why after the first family did someone not address the problem? 4) We drove to Walmart and bought a car seat. It cost us $150. Of course, we don't need this seat because we already have one, and we had to check it onto the airplane to bring it home. 5) We reported all of this by phone and social media the day we wented the car. I was assured someone would call within 48 hours to resolve the issue. No one has called. This is a problem and I would hope that National not only reimburses us for the $150 car seat, but then goes beyond that for its complete lack of consideration for the safety of a child. If the company has no corporate policy in place to ensure that they are fulfilling their promises to customers and ensuring basic safety of child passengers, one must be made. If there is a policy in place, I'd like to see it and receive some kind of explanation why the policy wasn't followed. Minimally we should have been notified that no seat was available the morning of our rental so other arrangements could have been made.
