36th District Court processes more than 500,000 cases annually and serves the residents of the City of Detroit. It is one of the leading courts in the United States. The court operates a traffic and ordinance division that handles criminal and noncriminal violation cases, such as speeding, illegal turns and related offences. 36th District Court governs a real estate division that handles matters related to the nonpayment of rent and land contract disputes. The court s criminal division processes misdemeanor cases 365 days a year. In addition, the division conducts preliminary examinations for felony cases. 36th District Court handles small claims cases and civil lawsuits. It employs over 500 people.

One of the worst establishments that I have ever had to visit. Very rude and impatient security officers, rude staff and very unorganized. The city is already viewed by the rest of the world as a throw away city, and with establishments like this, I see why. Terrible experience! In order for Detroit to get better, people who think they are on top need to re-evaluate themselves first and then work on those whom they feel are on the bottom. With their messed up attitudes, they are really closer to the bottom than they realize.
