In 2011 I had a glass picture window installed by Foothills. They gave me a 10 yr. guarantee. This past summer that window fogged and I called for a repair. They said they would send someone out to look at it. No show. Called again. Another no show. Service people said they would not honor the 10 yr. guarantee because the manufacturer of the window had gone out of business. I would have to pay for a new window. I felt the contract was with Foothills, not a manufacturer that I didn't even know made the window. I finally made arrangements with another company to put in a new window, because I needed to have the window fixed quickly in order to put my home on the market. The new installer indicated that the window had fogged because the Foothills installer had plugged up drainage holes in the frame that would prevent rotting and fogging. So, don't hold your breath for them to honor a guarantee.
