EOG Resources, formerly known as Enron Oil & Gas Company, is one of the largest, independent, nonintegrated oil and natural gas businesses in the United States. Established in 1985, it explores, develops, produces and markets natural gas and crude oil in major producing basins in the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Trinidad and China. EOG Resources operates a shale gas play that is located in British Columbia in Canada and covers an area of more than 158,000 acres. The company administers drilling activities in the Barnett Combo play located in the Fort Worth Basin. Through its subsidiary, EOG Resources Trinidad Limited (EOGRT), the company acquires subsurface rights and onshore storage facilities. EOG Resources has been named as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For by the Fortune magazine.
