Brown Elementary School was founded in 1952 and is located in Denver. The school is affiliated with Denver Public Schools, and provides a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Brown Elementary School also provides early childhood education, Spanish, dance, English as a second language and special education programs. The school additionally offers gifted and talented education, Indian focus, reading, writing, spelling and computer education programs. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
