A Wonderful Place to Study Aikido! Nippon Kan is a traditional Japanese dojo, where people interested in aikido come together to practice. I have studied at this school for about a year now, and it is a favorite in my everyday life.

The beginners classes are offered frequently throughout the year, and are taught by some very knowledgable and fun high ranking members. You learn at your own pace and the members have a high amount of patience and respect for each other. The people that I practice with have become very good friends, both on the mat and off, as we go to local parks for community service, or go bowling in our uniforms and hakamas.

Nippon Kan has far surpassed my expectations. I went in with no martial arts experience, not even knowing what 'aikido' was. It has been and continues to be an amazing learning experience, a great way to get exercise, and a cultural immersion into Japanese aikido.
