Established in 1882, The Denton Independent School District is a provider of education services to its students. The district is comprised of three comprehensive high schools, 20 elementary schools, an early childhood center, an alternative high school, an advanced technology complex, as well as other specialized schools and centers. Located in Denton, Texas, it has various departments, such as adult and community education, advanced placement, insurance, transportation, technology, child nutrition, construction, health services and aquatics.
