Beginning his medical career as a paramedic in his native New York, Evan Abramsky was awarded a civilian medal for his valiant, life-saving efforts at the scene of the 1990 Avianca Flight 52 Airlines plane crash. Taking his knowledge, skills and talents to sunny South Florida, Evan furthered his education to earn his physician assistant degree from Nova Southeastern University. He scored in the top 1% of the country on the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants exam, adding yet another accolade that makes him a stand-out medical professional. Evan joined The Hirsh Center team in 2010, bringing with him 15 years of extensive experience as a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine. Working closely with Dr. Hirsh, Evan acquired extensive hands-on training in rheumatology, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and non-surgical orthopedic procedures. Evan is one of only a handful of physician assistants who has earned prestigious national certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound. Evan is committed to leading a healthy lifestyle and kindly encourages his patients to incorporate exercise and a healthy diet into their lives. He spends as much time as possible with his two children, instilling his virtuous values and mentoring them toward a fulfilling future.
