A California Distinguished School, Del Mar Heights School is a learning facility that serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes art, music, physical education and science. The school has over 15 classrooms and a parent-teacher association. It offers the English Language Learners and gifted and talented education programs. The school has running and lunch clubs, as well as a school site council. Del Mar Heights School also organizes book fairs and music programs. It operates science and technology laboratories. The school is a part of the Del Mar Union School District, which operates Ashley Falls School, Carmel Del Mar School and Ocean Air School.
