Puppy Pre-School

• The most opportune time to begin training your puppy is during the first sixteen weeks of her life. This is the period when you can best establish a sound foundation for her relationships with people and other dogs, and build the basis for her future behaviors and interactions with different environments. Difficulties during this crucial bonding period can lead to behavioral problems if appropriate measures are not taken. Dan will evaluate you puppy's personality and determine the most appropriate training methods for your puppy. Puppy Pre-School includes the following:
• Building a relationship based on understanding, love, and respect.

• Teaching you to understand you puppy's behavior and how to modify it.

• Detailing an easy-to-follow housetraining program.

• Curbing unwanted behaviors such as biting, barking, and destructive chewing.

• Imprinting basic obedience commands (sit, down, come, and stay) and leash walking.

• Establishing a socialization routine to help your puppy adapt to situations that she will experience throughout her lifetime.

• Giving special guidance for owners of anxious, hyperactive or potentially aggressive puppies.
