General Info

Community Action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. For most services, we pick you up right at your door and take you wherever you need to go. People use us regularly to get to work, to school, to doctor's appointments, to go shopping, or to visit family and friends. Transporation is provided whenever needed. If you need a ride, we are here to provide it. Trips that take place outside of our office hours must be scheduled during office hours. NEICAC operates a large variety of programs through its seven county service area. Some, but not all, of these programs are: early childhood education (head start & early head start), housing, family services, regional transit, family planning, and energy assistance.
