Northwest Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school has a parent-teacher organization that works in partnership with the school s principal and staff, as well as the community to provide programs and services that enhance the educational environment for all children. Northwest Elementary School offers an accelerated reader program that monitors reading practices and helps students in improving reading abilities. The school provides education in various subjects, such as fine arts, math, science, social studies, reading and writing, English, and health and physical education. Northwest Elementary School is a part of North Adams Community Schools and is located in Decatur, Ind.
