The Buchanan County R-IV School District serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade 12 through its elementary and middle/high schools. The school district operates a cafeteria that serves lunch and breakfast to students. It offers a range of sports activities, such as basketball, softball, baseball, cheerleading, volleyball, and track and field. The school district conducts classes in computer publications that offer a variety of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. In addition, it operates a range of organizations, including a student council and middle and high school academic teams. The Buchanan County R-IV School District is located in De Kalb, Mo. Its schools include DeKalb Middle/High School and Rushville Elementary School.
