United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties is a nonprofit corporation that focuses on charitable purposes. It offers various programs and organizes fundraising campaigns to solve the problems of poverty and homelessness. The corporation s volunteer center recruits, develops, places and recognizes volunteers for several nonprofit organizations and agencies. United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties works in partnership with the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club of Volusia and Flagler and the Center of the Visually Impaired. Its community foundation uses interest earnings to fund one-time grants for capital projects, emergencies and targeted needs. The corporation is located in Daytona Beach, Fla.
