The almost 14 years I worked for Merchants I had more good times than bad. Now that I know the truth, I feel I left the company on good terms.

I own various sites and buildings around Dayton and at times need security to watch over things. Every time I contact Merchants they quickly provide me with the needed help. I have never had a bad experience and recommend Merchants to anyone who needs top-quality guard services.

Great experience so far! Everyone has been more than helpful while I have tried to learn more about the security industry. So nice to be part of a company that cares about their employees and about providing quality services to their customers.

I feel this company is a great place to work for people who do not like to be on their feet all night and who are ok with working independently. I have been with the company a little over four months and I have had a pretty good experience. They were short guards so a lot of us were working 6 days a week and some people doubles, but if you just email or talk to someone they are usually pretty good about making things better for you. The one thing about working here that is a major con is that you don't get weekends off unless you take them off. I feel if we were scheduled for at least one weekend a month off, the work schedule would be a lot better. Over all I do give Merchants a 4 star rating because they are pretty cool people to work with, I feel Jessica is very nice and understanding, and they do not micromanage. I would say this is a great place to work if you want something low stress and a place where they give you a lot of hours.

Jessica lies I recommend when you hear the phrase I quit working for other companies in HR because they didn't care about their employees get up turn around walk out family-oriented company BS, 50hr week brought home 206, took an extra $130 out of my check for a fee I don't remember nor would I consent to that

This company does not care about who works for them. They could care less working you in 3 shifts a day. All they care about is money. They have a site without a bathroom for their employees to "guard". And the scheduler Tony is a stupid person. Human resources are a joke too. No compassion. STay away.

The reviews are so right for this place. I worked there when Dennis hired me because I was in the military. I told him I was unable to do long walks and he said it was ok because most of the jobs were sitting down. He put me in a place where we had to two rounds a night and to do one full round took 2 hours. One day I told him that I could not complete a round and the next day Dennis fired me because I was unable to fill the requirements of the job..... So tell me how I got hired because I was in the military but got fired because the injuries that I got while in the military.....Then he would not even give me my full check.....

Do Not Work OR Hire this Company in any circumstances. Office management(Dennis McClerren) is corrupt as they come. Lies and steals from employees, verifiable by looking at multiple reviews with other Search sites. This company is Just plain wrong in its handling of employees, with regards to its supervisors who are trained to treat their officers like 18 yr old marine recruits. And then to lie and steal from you .....just awful.

Please beleive me when I tell you not to HIre or Work for this Company.

I worked for them for 9 years mostly in mud holes and places so nasty that they could hardly find anybody else willing to work the contracts, Ruining the inside of my vehicles in the process, And suffered 2 disabling injuries in my time with them.Places such as Metal Shredders in west Carrollton (2 contract numbers front and back.) nobody wanted the back because of the DEEP mud and I did it for 3 years,During my absence they LOST the contract (376) for the back section because they couldn't find anybody reliable enough willing to work in those conditions.A lot of times during my absence the contract went unfilled, or The supervisor, or one of the Motor patrolmen would have to "sit in if possible" in the back inside of their vehicle instead of the control tower where you were supposed to be stationed to get a good view of the place. (Guess they didn't like the mud either)Or the guard that was supposed to be in the back was goofing off in the front. Don't Believe me ? Call Metal Shredder
