i was really excited to try this place out. my boyfriend n i went on valentine's day and iv never been more disappointed. i had the filet mignon which was around $20 and it came out beyond undercooked and my boyfriend ordered the ribs....they were hard and dry like theyd been sitting under a heat lamp all day n the sauce tasted pretty much like they had dumped a bottle of ketchup on the ribs n called it a day. for the price, i had expected a much better meal n far better quality than what we had. will not ever b goin back there.

Heard about this place at a US collage game in the area and thought we would try it out last Sat. Pretty busy place around 8 pm, Awsome ribs and the filet was just mouth watering.Salad was ok but to exstravegant .Atmosphere was kind of confuseing as far as decor goes and a bit cramped but tolerable,could use a remodle , seems a bit unorganized .Waitress seemed a little disressed but was doing a good job comeing back around and checking on us. Considering how busy they were, and what this place has to work with I give them a 8 out of a 10 rateing and will definatly be back soon. GO FLYERS, GO HICKORY

some of the best steaks in the Dayton area. started going when Iwas in high school with my cousin...live in california now but i always make the pilgrimage for a t-bone!!

best shrimp cocktail and sauce ever, wonderful bread and great steaks..ribs are top notch too..

If you live in the Kettering, Oakwood or UD area, this place is a well-kept secret! With an old school, cozy atmosphere and some of the best cookin' around, it's a great place to visit if you want a meal like mom or grandma used to make (hint, hint students!).



The broasted chicken and potatoes are my absolute favorite. Crisp and moist ... but not at all greasy.



Come early unless you like to wait in a line out the door. Or better yet, call in carry-out! :-)

The shrimp cocktail is the best! Huge shrimp and super tasty cocktail sauce! The steaks melt in your mouth delicious! And its the same whether you wait in line at opening or come in at the last minute at night! It could just be open for lunch!! That would be awesome!

I live in Cincinnati and I still come to the best steak and rib house in Ohio! The atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff is a joy. They know me and my order when I walk in the door. The Hickory always makes me feel like family. See you guys soon!
