      Caring for the community since 1932, Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio provides advanced services for heart and vascular care, orthopedics, cancer treatment, diagnostics, women's health, and much more. GSH is a 560-bed facility employing 550 physicians in more than 35 primary, medical, and surgical specialties. In addition, the hospital is proud to have a large number of advanced practice nurses, including clinical nurse specialists, midwives, nurse anesthetists and nurse practitioners in obstetrics and trauma. The hospital's Family Birthing Center provides many options to offer a personal, unique birthing experience for each patient. The hospital is a vibrant, multi-campus operation and a leading provider of inpatient and outpatient health care services. Most notably, Good Samaritan Hospital offers a nationally recognized Joint Replacement Center. The program is designed to provide leading-edge joint-replacement surgeries. The hospital also has a Surgical Weight Loss program that provides the support and resources needed to lose weight and enjoy a healthier life. Samaritan North's Sports Medicine program is focused on getting athletes back in the game after an injury. Good Samaritan Hospital acquired the assets of Dayton Heart Hospital in May 2008, creating Dayton Heart & Vascular Hospital, Owned and Operated by Good Samaritan Hospital. The two award-winning heart programs are joining forces to continue to offer outstanding cardiovascular care to the Dayton region.
