I absolutely love this place! Great food and there usually isn't a terribly long wait. Their house dressing is delicious and my personal favorite for an entree is the chicken parm. The portions are nice and big, which makes it a great value for the money. We've recently moved out of state and anytime I'm back for a visit I have to eat there.

My wife and I, new to Dayton, ate at Franco's for our anniversary. The atmosphere was very lacking. The dining area is within earshot of the bar (noisy) and directly in front of the kitchen. While some might enjoy seeing their food prepared, having to listen to the wait staff while they stand around was less than ideal. Music was provided by a local radio station. The service, though quite attentive, was rushed and mediocre. When I asked what the dressing selections were, the waiter told me where I'd find them in the menu rather than reciting them. (There were only four.) As soon as we had concluded our meal, before even leaving the table, the waiter came and took the signed check and looked to see what the tip was. Very unprofessional. Clearly, Franco's is trying too hard to be something it isn't. The food was decent, but not spectacular. The tiramisu was below average and the coffee was lukewarm. We won't return. Cost itself isn't the issue, mind you; it's what you get for the money.
