      About Hillel The largest Jewish campus organization in the world, Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, provides opportunities for Jewish students to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through its global network of over 500 regional centers, campus Foundations and Hillel student organizations. Hillel is working to provoke a renaissance of Jewish life.. The mission of Hillel at Davis and Sacramento is to enhance the lives of our Jewish students ; to build a Jewish community on campus that will serve as an inspiration and model for what students can contribute to their Jewish communities after college ; to provide experiences that will strengthen Jewish students' identification with, and celebration of, their Jewish heritage ; to act as the Jewish resource to the general campus community ; to represent and advocate for Jewish causes and concerns, now and in the future, on campus and beyond. Hillel actively seeks to engage uninvolved Jewish students on their own terms: to provide them with opportunities to participate in Jewish activities that are meaningful and appealing to them. Students are empowered to take responsibility for their Jewish identity, whether they wish to participate in a community service project, express themselves artistically, participate in a social event, engage in informal Jewish learning or attend religious services. Any student may participate in Hillel - no membership is required. Hillel is committed to a pluralistic vision of Judaism that embraces all movements. Whether your interest is social activities, Israel, community service, religion, athletics, culture ( and more ), Hillel has something going on for you. Hillel's building is located at 328 A Street, between 3rd and 4th, a short walk from the Memorial Union at UC Davis. Hillel House Located at 328 A Street in Downtown Davis, the Hillel House is next to the UC Davis Campus. Stop by check out all we have to offer: Kosher Food At Hillel Students can always count on the food being served at Hillel to be 100% kosher. In fact, Hillel House has the only commercial kosher kitchen in all of Yolo County, including separate meat and dairy ovens, dishes, utensils and cookware. It's enough to make even the most caring of Jewish mothers to say "Oy!" So come to Hillel and experience some of the most delicious kosher meals you've ever had.
