Located in Davie, Fla., Silver Ridge Elementary School is a public, coeducational school that serves more than 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through five and offers various academics and extracurricular activities. The elementary school s academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, foreign languages, reading, social studies, science, and physical and health education. Its media center is a full-service library that has more than 15,000 volumes of books, videos, laser discs, audio cassettes and computer programs. The elementary school provides a variety of extracurricular programs, including student council, and art, book and math clubs. Additionally, it offers a reading program and organizes various writing workshops and yearly academic fairs.
