This guy is terrible. I was pretty sure I was being overcharged for a diagnostic, and when I asked for more explanation about his findings he just threw the paper at me and told me to read and wouldn't explain anything. Also the paper said the axel is "broke" which is not clear at all, so when I asked for more clarification he said "he's been in this business for 60 plus years and doesn't need to explain it." When it became quite clear that I was unhappy, he actually wouldn't accept my debit card as payment and made me go find an ATM and get cash. Overall he was extremely rude and I'm pretty sure he was just yanking me around because I'm a single young woman.
As an addition... I later decided to google the problem he quoted me for. He claimed the axle needed replacing, and a quick google search revealed that that should cost somewhere between 600-800 for my car, including the typical cost of the part and labor. He quoted me above 1500$. Look, I can see if maybe it may be a bit more than a quick google search but for God's sake not 700-900 more. This guy is a total scam. Avoid at all costs. If my car broke down in front of his shop I would pay to have it towed elsewhere.
Hello Micheal Thank you for supporting your local Dodge Dealer.I enjoyed visiting your facility a few weeks ago. JPCurley Mopar
Hello, I am looking for an old friend mike pepper , brother of Robert and bob - pep-bros. skelly . A 1955 chevy fanatic ! a conv, a nomad , had a warehouse full of 55-57 parts and cars ( the shorty he built in the army).Do I have the right place?
Do NOT take your vehicle here for repair. The mechanics were very vague when describing the work they performed and the owner is a very rude person who treated me like I was trying to scam him! Typical shady mechanic

Terrible! I would give it zero stars if I could. We brought our car in because it made a awful knocking sound. Sergeant Peppers kept the car for a day and a half, didn't find anything wrong with it but they said the sound disappeared. They charged us $214 and said if it came back then they would fix it again, no charge. We paid them and left. The noise came back before we even got home. We brought it back in, after a few hours they called us with a diagnosis, and the cost it will be for parts and LABOR. They didn't compensate for the money we already paid them for labor! So to recap: We paid them $214 for a repair they didn't make, and then wanted more money on top of that when they actually knew what was wrong with it. Ridiculous! Don't go here!
This company does the "bait and switch"!!!
I went there, because the OWNER of the company, stated that he would do a "free estimate" of repairs for my car.
When I went to pick up my car, I was told the "estimate was $650"- and I told him I couldn't afford that amount right now, he then stated because I'm not doing the repair, there would be a $60 + tax charge. I said that's not fair, because he never told me there would be a charge. I told him repeatedly that he was the one that told me that it was "free", he said he can't keep track of who he tells that too, so its my responsibility to make sure that everyone in the shop knows that its a "freebie". I said that's not my responsibility, as he is the owner, and he was the one who told me, then he should tell his employees. He then continued on to say "that's how businessess run".
He refused to give me my car back until I paid the money.
The reciept that was presented for the "estimate" after I paid, was completely blank. It didn't say what was needed on my car for repair. I had to ask them to list the issues, and then the owner just told the receptionist stuff to write in on the "estimate'. I really wonder what I paid for.
He did a bait and switch and I'm very unhappy. I made a Better Business Bureau complaint, and they are unresponsive.
I know hear from other people, that this sort of thing happened to them as well with this company.
