They do really suck the person up front with his ponytail f****** sucked he didn't do anything for anybody just had to go back there and find a person named this person found that person this person was a eccentric person you know you tried to crack jokes but all he ever did is crack jokes the whole time he got confused so much that I'm pretty sure he gave me back the wrong rims see I went there to get two new rims for my car I need it also a new tire now I found all that and they were in great shape now when I was willing out the last tire as I was willing and out I could see that it was the tire that had a gas in it so I brought it back he said it was my fault for making them crack too many jokes then he put one on and I put the tires on now all those tires that were on that car or not flat meaning that the rims were good the tires were good but yet two days later one of the tires were getting low really quick meaning that the only thing I can think of is that he put on one of my bad rims the ones that I was replacing because it leaked meanwhile the last two decades all I've ever heard was bad things about that place they suck if you didn't know this they also had a dead body in one of their trunks back in the 80s s***** place has dead bodies in their trunks LOL true story

The lady with the ponytail and mustache that works the counter is on the rag EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME HERE. I only come here when absolutely no one else has what I'm looking for. I'm sorry I need an alternator, you hag. Unfortunately, I'm a tightass and would rather deal with your bitchy ass than spend another hundo to buy a new one. FML

I get that this is a junkyard, but this place is dirty and nasty. Also the worker are total d bags. They are lazy just like everyone else says. You would think they would try a little harder and be nice since they are selling parts! And the selection is horrible. Go elsewhere!

Assured me the parts I bought would fit my vehicle, then wouldn't take them back when they didn't. Found the right parts at a different yard for 60% less.

I used to go there often as the prices were cheap, they have NEVER had good customer service. The guy at the front desk is abrasive on a good day and verbally abusive on a bad. On my last visit got charged $45 for what normally would have been $15. Looks like they lost the only thing they had going for them cheap prices. Give the business to BridgeWay, always happy to see me and reasonable prices

I live close to Hickory Grove Auto, my first time being there was also my last time, I needed two hood struts and a bumper trim piece, the guy at the front desk rips people off big time, their were two customers in front of me that had small parts and their total shouldn't have been more than $10.00 and they got charged the same amount as me $26.75, the parts we all had where completely different, $26.75 for a hand full of bolts? I'll spend more gas going out to u pull a part where I know I won't be taken for a fool!

The owner is a jerk. Horrible service. Doesn't matter how long you've been doing business with them... Unfortunately, we continue to do business with them because of our limited options in the quad cities..

The guys here are lazy as f***. I went up there are 1030 am to pick up a part, which they said they wouldn't be able to grab it for me until later and made me pay up front. Well I had an appointment to get my car fixed at 3 30 pm and needed the part by then. I thought that would leave them PLENTY of time. I overestimated them. They didn't have it done until 430. Had to reschedule my appointment. They ruinned the whole day I planned that I took off from work just to get my car fixed. Now tell me, does it take 6 hours to take a window out of a car? Exactly. This place is horrible and the dudes who work here are a bunch of lazy losers. Don't even deserve one star. Oh and I love the one good review on here that was clearly written by the owner. What a joke.

These guys are terrible. Take your business elsewhere no respect for customers and the guys working there are lazy.

i believe this bussiness deserves a 5 star rating because how wel they work with their customers. and if want to act like you can get a discount for being a customer for a long time dont think about it because you wont because they do their best to stay in bussiness. also they keep their yard clean enough for a junk yard and no one drinks on the job there because they want to keep their job this company i would go to than a auto zone or a auto parts store the guy up front pat knows his stuff about vechiles and if you need a tow you can depend on their tow truck driver Dave. and they will do their best to find the part you need for your vechile and if they cant find it they will refer you to B&c Auto or any other part store to help you.

THE COUNTER SALES PERSON PAT IS A POOR EMPLOYEE HE WILL SUCK THE LIFE OUT YOU WITH HIS PERSONALITY.

It's a junkyard- save your money and go here! I saved a ton of money over the last couple years by dropping by this place. They have a huge lot, and unless you drive an oddball car, there should be one like yours in the yard. They have the yard organized to make finding your make and model pretty simple. Some of these reviews whine about the owner. I don't see their issue with him- he's been nothing but helpful and fair on every dealing I've had with him. He will usually give you some tips about the car you're working on to avoid trouble in the future. I could see him giving you attitude if you walk in there like you're too good for junkyard parts; but if you wanna do that, go down the street and pay 10-50 times the price for a new part! They have a good return policy, and fair prices. Often, the prices are far less than what you'll find on ebay for the same part in another yard! Definitely a great deal, and good service. I've never had a problem with anything I bought from here.

the dude behide the counter knows alot about his lot and the lot is realy clean for a junk yard i go weekly for parts for all makes and the dude always gots use full tips and knows where everything is at and aint on bull like most places leadin u on a hunting

I called for a car door an they were short with me an was in a hurry to get off the phone. Thats sad how they treat future costumers. Very very disappointed with them

Wouldnt even rate it a one star!! Absolutely terrible terrible service! They lied about the window we bought from them and wouldn't even let us see it til we paid! We had toile two separate trips up there and then when confronted about the lies the man was rude and kept hanging up ony husband. They need to be reported as we are not the first complaint about that! Absolutely terrible and dishonest company!

o.k. not dealing with a world scholar here, but, it's a salvage yard! The guy behind the desk saved me over $500.00 by telling me what part would interchange and how it make the changes needed to make it work. Other yards didn't know or wouldn't bother to tell me the same money saving tips.

Hickory Grove is the place I go to most because it's the closest to home. It's got most of the parts one could need. However, their attitudes SUCK! But what can you expect from a junkyard? Junkyards are where the "bottom feeders" go, so why not have "bottom feeders" for employees. I think Pat is the main manager/ owner and all his face says to me is "I hate my life, I hate my job, this punk-a** kid needs an a** whoopin', oh well."

Every time I go there I get treated like poo, I'm guessing the Craig guy below is best friends the guy with long hair or Craig works for him and don't wont to loose his job. But really the place is BAD, listen to the reviews and beleave what you read or you will be here next telling what bad things happened to you.
