Located in Davenport, Iowa, Center for Alcohol & Drug Services, also known as CADS, is a nonprofit organization that provides substance abuse prevention and referral services for individuals, groups and organizations in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. Founded in 1980, the organization offers educational and treatment services for individuals who suffer from disorders related to alcohol and drugs. It provides a women and children s services program that includes ancillary and support services designed to guide and empower recovering women and their children. The organization conducts health status evaluations and provides individual, group and family counseling services. It offers an after-school and summer outreach program that includes homework assistance, mentoring and tutoring services. The organization conducts various recreational activities, such as skills building classes, arts and crafts, field trips, and community and family events. It is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
