Danville Community College is a two-year institution that provides higher education and workforce programs and services to students. The college is supervised by the Virginia Community College System and State Board for Community Colleges. It has an annual enrollment of more than 4,000 students in credit courses. The college offers associate degrees in accounting, business management, dental hygiene, health science, early childhood development and information technology systems. It also offers certificate programs in auto body mechanics, child care, maintenance mechanics, office information processing and practical nursing. The college offers various sporting activities, including cross country, baseball and basketball. Danville Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is located in Danville, Va.
