DO NOT let a nursing home send your elderly loved one to the mental health facility at Ephraim McDowell. (The only reason I'm giving them one star is because this site won't let me give them 0.) They deny you access and in our case we believe they did not act in the best interest of our 97 year old Mother. She was later transferred to the Ephraim McDowell actute care ward where she was allowed to suffer before she died.
