Derecktor Florida is a marine repair facility that provides new construction and repair for power and sailing vessels and yachts. Its services include propulsion and auxillary service and repair, custom metal fabrication, custom joinery work, composite work, paint and finish and rigging. It operates a 600 ton elevator platform with rail transfer system, 160 ton and 60 ton travelift and 35 and 18 ton cranes. The company is a preferred yard for many of the keel boats that participate in Key West Race Week. Derecktor Florida was opened in 1968 and is located in Dania, Fla. It is a member of the Derecktor Shipyards company, located in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
