Founded in 2001, the South Orange County Wastewater Authority plans, acquires, constructs, maintains, repairs, manages, operates and controls facilities for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of wastewater. The authority is also responsible for the reclamation and use of wastewater for beneficial purposes, and the production, transmission, storage and distribution of nondomestic water. The South Orange County Wastewater Authority features a variety of programs, such as industrial and recycled water and ocean monitoring. The authority also maintains a business center and offers several engineering and procurement services. The South Orange County Wastewater Authority is located in Dana Point, Calif.
