• Brow Lift
  I am extremely pleased with my recent plastic surgery experience at Dr. Gilmores. Dr. Gilmore, his nurses, and staff provided exceptional support and competence before, during, and after my surgery. I asked Dr. Gilmore what he thought I should have done and I went along with his recommendations. The results are incredible. • Eyelid Surgery
  The Endoscopic Forehead & Browlift is designed to raise the eyebrows and upper eyelids, and soften or flatten deep frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar). By utilizing a digital microchip camera and video monitor, the surgeon is able to manipulate instruments through tiny, obscure incisions, made with a modern approach, the CO2 laser, which are placed inconspicuously behind the hairline. This technology alleviates the concern of hair loss and unsightly scars previously noted in traditional (coronal) forehead lifts, without the "surprised look". When combined with an upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), dramatic rejuvenation of the upper one-third of the face can be accomplished.

  Submental Liposuction and Submentoplasty are intended to improve the "double chin" appearance when a sagging neck is not apparent. Both procedures are done through a small incision placed in the natural crease under the chin utilizing concepts of minimal access.
• Rhinoplasty
  Rhinoplasty (Nose) is an operation to improve the shape and size of the nose so that it is in harmony with the rest of the face. Rhinoplasty is essentially a surgical sculpting of the nose and is accomplished by careful contouring of the bone and cartilage giving the nose its shape. At the same time deformities that cause breathing problems and some sinus disorders can be corrected. Most incisions (seamless rhinoplasty) are placed inside the nose where they are least visible.

• Neck Lift
  Dr. Gilmores "Facial J-Lift" (Cheek Lift) and Neck Lift are designed to reshape the face naturally without a "stretched look". This is accomplished by lifting and tightening the skin, the underlying and deep tissues, and muscles of the cheek, jowl/jawline, and neck, which tend to sag with advancing years or genetically. Looseness of the covering of the face is caused by shrinkage of the underlying bone, muscle, and soft tissue.
• Blepharoplasty
  Blepharoplasty (sculpting of the eyelids) can correct puffiness, drooping, or wrinkling of the eyelids by removing excess skin, stretched muscle, and excess fat from the upper or lower eyelids. Loose upper eyelid skin may even obstruct vision. In the lower eyelids, excess skin and bulging fatty tissue can contribute to puffiness, swelling, and wrinkling. It can also cause a baggy appearance of the eye and a "tired look".

  Rhinoplasty is performed under sedation with local anesthesia. The surgery takes approximately one and one-half to two hours. The use of "seamless" nose surgery allows for no visible external scars and with this type of seamless nose surgery discomfort is minimized because no plates, tubes, or painful packing are used.

  Otoplasty (shaping of the ear) sculpture is designed to correct deformed or protruding ears. In adults of all ages, protruding ears are frequently unsightly and can even lead to unhappiness with appearance and the inability to select hairstyles. The result of this surgery is immediate, often dramatic, and very rewarding to both the patient and surgeon. The multiple elements of this surgery include external ear (pinna), which is remolded by placing small incisions behind the ear then reshaping or trimming the cartilage to define how and where the ear bends. Placing the ear in the proper aesthetic position achieves natural balance between the various elements of the ear. The patient wears a snug-fitting bandage for 24 hours, which is then removed and replaced with a ski-type headband to support the healing ears. This band is worn continuously for five to seven days then at night for six weeks.
• Laser Resurfacing
  In laser resurfacing, lines on the face can be significantly improved. This procedure is performed under sedation with local anesthesia. Redness may persist for several weeks and make-up can usually be applied in seven to ten days.

This procedure is done to create a better profile and correct the aging or genetically defective face. Some people desire chin augmentation and jowl reconstruction alone for a receding or weak chin or in conjunction with a Facial J-Lift.

• Acne Treatment

  Chemical Peeling is a technique used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes the surface layers of the skin to eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. However, the new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun. Chemical peeling is often used to treat fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth. Fine lines caused by sun damage, aging, and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure, however, sags, bulges, and more severe wrinkles do not respond well to peeling and may require other types of cosmetic procedures. Mild scarring and certain types of acne can also be treated with chemical peels. In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, brown spots, freckles, splotching due to taking birth control pills, and skin that is dull in texture and color may be treated. Areas of sun damage, precancerous keratosis, or scaling patches may improve after chemical peeling. Following treatment, new lesions or patches are less likely to appear.
• Chemical Peels
  During the consultation your skin will be evaluated, as to the most appropriate treatment and pre-treatment protocol will be discussed and customized to your needs. Prior to a chemical peel the skin is thoroughly cleansed with an agent that removes excess oils. After the acid is applied the patient will experience a warm sensation, which lasts about five to ten minutes, followed by a tingling sensation. Depending upon the type of peel, a reaction similar to a sunburn occurs following the treatment. After superficial and light peels, make-up can be applied immediately. Medium-depth and deeper peels may result in mild swelling and longer healing times.

• Microdermabrasion
  FotoFacial treatments are performed under a topical anesthesia to optimize comfort. Prior to the treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the skin. Then using a spectrum of IPL appropriate to ones skin type, light energy ("flash lamp") delivers a series of gentle pulses to the skin non-invasively. The targeted area responds as the "pulsed light" fragments melanin (skin color pigmentation), which is then absorbed without damage to the surrounding area, delivering sequential rejuvenation to the skin. Individual treatment times vary, depending on the area being treated, and are delivered with minimal discomfort. FotoFacial treatments may also be combined with Microdermabrasion to further enhance results.
