Reminds me of home. A little piece of heaven. A little small, but it works in that it is never dull. Great food, and that all that really matters.

I have only been a few times but every time was a great experience. They have the best oysters I have ever had, the service is great and the atmosphere is a little like New Orleans.

This restaurant has been in business for over 30 years! Locals keep coming back for more of their fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. Oysters are their specialty. There is also a New Orleans feel to the menu as customers have the option to have their fish blackened. I ordered the fried shrimp dinner. Despite the food being fried, it wasn't overly greasy. Their dinners come with cool, creamy cole slaw, hush puppies and your choice of Creole rice or french fries. The staff at the restaurant are extremely nice.

Service is very good, atmoshpere is casual and energy-filled. The main reason to go though is for the OYSTERS. If you love them, you will love this place. They are like the ones you get in New Orleans--plump and fresh and ohhhh soooo DELICIOUS!

Been on Mckinney forever. With good reason. Fresh delicious seafood. Don't miss the oysters.

I have dined at S&D for nearly it's entire history, it still has the very best fried shrimp in the Metroplex, tender and succulent, the best snapper in town, while the nutty tasting cole slaw is divine and the hushpuppies excellent. Can't miss at S&D!
