Best Chile Relleno ever! I like it stuffed with chicken and with green sauce. Love the raisons and pecans on top. Been going there since the 80's. Raquel is great!

Matt's is one of my all time favorites. Excellent chile rellenos, excellent queso and Bob Armstrong dip, excellent margaritas, great patio
0The cheese enchiladas are the best I've ever had. Add the Bob Armstrong dip and you can't go wrong. Outdoor seating is great in the spring and summer nights.
Whatever you do, make sure you get the Bob Armstrong dip. It's creamy, packed with meat and sour cream and absolutely delicious.
As in, Bob Armstrong dip. So thick and creamy, so impossible to stop eating. Best ever.
I really miss No Place.
Bob Armstrong queso is the best. A great place to grab a margarita, sit on the huge patio and just hang out. It's in Lakewood, with a great local charm about it.

- Founder, Matt Martinez, Jr. was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where his grandfather opened the first Tex-Mex restaurant. Matt grew up working in his father's Austin restaurant. As a fourth generation Tex-Mex chef, Matt has continued his family's tradition with the development and operation Matt's Rancho Martinez restaurant. Located in Dallas, it features his famous Tex-Mex food. Matt is the first chef to reintroduce unique prairie/range style cooking since cowboys used a similar technique. His own special seasonings, Texas Sprinkle and Black Magic finishing sauce, enhance the natural flavor of all dishes. His focus is on indigenous, high flavor, low fat foods with Southern roots. Matt has developed hundreds of recipes, spice combinations and operating procedures. The restaurant has had numerous articles and recipes published by The Dallas Morning News as well as guest appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning Texas, Good Day Dallas and CNN.
