General Info
Lockhart Smokehouse brings Lockhart, Texas BBQ to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Every day, we fire up the great smoked meat classics that made Lockhart the “Barbecue Capital of Texas.” Lockhart Smokehouse is the only destination in all of DFW where you can find Kreuz Market Sausage, served on butcher paper, just like the original. Our mouth watering brisket, sausage, ribs and other meats are smoked over Texas post oak. Updated versions of classic southern sides and some Schmidt family favorites round out the menu. Lockhart Smokehouse has great Texas beers and brews on draft, plus a wide selection of ice cold bottles ready for your drinking pleasure. We also have a full bar with specialty cocktails to go along with your Texas BBQ.

Amazing BBQ, one of the best in town! Try the jalapeo Mac n cheese and deviled eggs too!

These guys are the best. Best BBQ and best people. I've made it a practice to head the 35 minutes to Lockhart's with my kids whenever we are off - - kiddos from school and me from work. We've been five or six times. Two times ago, my daughter got a little nauseous from the long car ride. Fellow behind the counter noticed she wasn't feeling well and brought over desserts for her. Couple of months later my son and I went and the same fellow asked my son where his sister was and we told him she was at school. He came over as we were eating with dessert for my daughter. Unreal!! Let's talk turkey. Or in this case brisket. Best I've ever had. The rub is truly special and not in need of sauce. The beans, mac and cheese and other sides are tremendous. Desserts (if you have the room) are terrific as well. Located in the Bishop Arts District, so you can walk it off afterward. Highly, highly recommend.
Best BBQ in Dallas. If you have to put bbq sauce on it, then it isn't Lockhart. Bring some friends and get the Shiner platter for a man vs. food challenge.
One of the best bbq restaurants in dfw. brisket is delicious. i attached a picture of their signature shiner platter.
