Based in Dallas, Texas, HEAD START of Greater Dallas Inc. is a kindergarten academy that provides various educational activities. It provides children the foundation of skills and knowledge and addresses the nutritional/health needs. The academy stimulates growth in physical coordination, self-esteem and pre-reading skills. HEAD START of Greater Dallas Inc. serves more than 4,000 low-income, preschool age children at 40 centers throughout Dallas County. In addition, it caters to a diverse population, including Hispanic, African-American children, Anglos, Asian-Americans and others.
