General Info

I fell in love with Genetics my sophomore year in High School when we started learning about it in biology class. There was no way to know how much it would change between then and now. I started training in Genetics just about the time that the Human Genome Project got started and so I grew up in Genetics at a wonderful time. There are so many more ways to find answers and to solve problems than there were just 20 years ago. My work is exclusively in the field of Genetics and birth defects. I do not practice General Pediatrics. Half of my time is spent seeing patients. The rest is divided between consultation work for the Texas Department of State Health Services and for companies that monitor medication effects on pregnant women and fetuses.
