Founded in 1984, UCA General Insurance Services provides markets for brokers throughout western United States. The company is endorsed by the California Restaurant Association. UCA General Insurance Services is the partner of the California Restaurant Association in property and casualty insurance for their 28,000 restaurant members. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Pioneer Insurance Group, which was founded by Lin Lan in 1980 and started as a retail insurance agency called Unico Insurance Agency to provide insurance coverage plans for the increasing population of Chinese immigrants. Unico Insurance Agency is one of the largest Chinese independent insurance agencies in California.
