Located in Cypress, Calif., the Cypress Police Department is a law enforcement agency that offers several support services, including gun registration, domestic violence prevention, animal control, and traffic and parking law enforcement. It undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies to ensure the safety of law enforcement officers and the public. The Cypress Police Department maintains an operations bureau that is comprised of uniformed patrol, K-9, traffic, narcotics, gangs, vice, intelligence and jail operation units. The department operates the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, which specializes in bomb disposal and hostage and barricaded gunman situations. The Cypress Police Department also provides various online crime statistics and maps, as well as crime reporting applications.
