Pinecrest is a very biased school, where the administration and teachers will let kids get away with anything in order to protect their image. They treat long time attending families MUCH better than regular students with certain last names. For example,a girl's car was keyed by another student (a student with family that has close ties to the school) out of spite. When she brought the issue to admin, they denied that anything like that could happen and video surveillancence was trashed by admin to keep up appearances. Not only is this school completely unethical but their courses are also very easy and grades are cushioned. These courses do not prepare students for SATs or college.I did not feel prepared for the math classes I was taking when I switched to public.Pinecrest teaches at a very low/slow level in order to keep grades up and make their school look better.I wouldn't advise to send your child to this school unless you don't care about his or her education and have money to waste.

I have had children at Pinecre...

I have had children at Pinecrest for 12 years. My oldest is now in high school. The most distinctive aspect of the school to me is the sense of community. Because your kids ages 3-18 attend school all in the same place, the family is really able to sink deep roots and thrive here, as a family - without driving different age kids to different schools and thus dividing the time and energy resources of the family. The strong community supports one another and my kids are stronger and more confident as a result of having really grown up on the campus, knowing that everyone knows their family. The academics are strong and contrary to what you sometimes hear, the school is authentically Cathollc, not over the top Catholic or radical Catholic. Just Catholic. My kids have developed a spirit of service and apostolic hearts as a result of what they have learned here. The school has been a wonderful gift to my entire family - not just my children. Faculty, staff and administration are kind and responsive - I really don't know what to make of the negative review that paints a picture of a place I don't recognize at all. We love the school and are very grateful to be at Pinecrest.

We are about to complete our s...

We are about to complete our second year at Pinecrest, and we absolutely love it. When we put our daughter here last year, it wasn't for the academics. It was for everything else! The academics are excellent, but more importantly, our daughter has been loved and nurtured, taught "real" morals, and is growing deeper in her faith. She is learning to be a service oriented teenager and has willingly taken on leadership roles in helping to form the younger children. She's been able to participate in athletics on the varsity level, and has just blossomed all the way around. We have seen a definite change in our daughter, so much so, that we are going to send our son here next year, too. I can tell the teachers, guidance counselors, coaches and other faculty sincerely love and care for my child. I have never seen her happier. We feel totally blessed to be here.
