We have been going to Dr.Orr for the past years. Every time we go to visit we are waiting for at least 2 hours or so to even be seen - so be sure to not have any plans for the rest of your day because you will be spending your entire day here. Although Dr. Orr is cheap the quality is not there. We had a cat pass away after surgery there- totally unexpected. She was recovering from surgery then we got a call from them letting us know she had passed away. This past week we took our dog in to get her anal glands expressed and also to get some blood work done. They kept her for the day and I picked her up later in the afternoon. Before I dropped her off she was the happiest most cheerful dog playing with her toys. The day after I picked her up I noticed she wasn't feel well- very tired, not eating or drinking and could barley walk. I took her back to the vet and I asked why she wasn't feeling good. I had a suspicion that she picked something up from the vet from them not cleaning their kennels. They gave my dog an iv and that is it. I took her home and she still did not feel good and was breathing hard and still wouldn't eat, drink and was breathing very hard. I figured I would let her get some sleep and if she wasn't feeling better by the morning I would take her to the emergency room. That night my dog passed away. I am so disappointed in Dr. Orr- they didn't even call to check up on her to see how she was doing- and as everyone knows- vets always call the next day to check on your pet. DO NOT go here!!!!! They need to have quality over quantity- even though their cheap they do not have good service or doctors. I will NEVER take my animals back here and you shouldn't either.

I have been using Dr. Orr (and now his children) since 1980. I have to drive an hour, but for the care my animals receive, there is no other place I will ever go. Dr. Aaron is my primary vet. She is wonderful, caring, very knowledgeable and compassionate. She and Amber make a great team. I cannot thank their family enough for all they have done for me over the years. Many of my animals would have died without them because other Vets gave up. Dr. Nathan is also great. He sees animals of all kinds. This is a wonderful family and a wonderful place!! God Bless!

I've been taking my pets to Orr Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They have an excellent team of Vets as well as assistants that truly care about the animals, and they offer reasonable fees for their services too. Its true that they haven't been accepting new patients for many years, but that's because THEY HAVE A HUGE, LOYAL CLIENT BASE BECAUSE THEY'RE SO GOOD. That being said, it would definitely be worth calling them periodically to see if they are accepting new patients. They're not perfect, but who is? Yes, sometimes there's a long wait, etc. which might really tick some people off, but the positives here far outweigh any negatives. I've never had a bad experience; quite the contrary, I've been very pleased with their service.

I'll leave you with the story of one of my former dogs. When she was getting older, she suddenly started walking in circles, always the same direction, and seemed clumsy, disoriented, and not eating much. I took her to the emergency vet just down the road since this was after hours and Orr Animal Hospital was further away. The vet at this emergency clinic said that she needed to be put down and that it was probably a brain tumor, etc. I didn't let them put her down, and immediately took her the next morning to Orr Animal Hospital. Dr. Nathan prescribed some medicines that he believed would work (I forget what he called what she had, but its a "syndrome" of some sort that seems to occur in older dogs, frequently female dogs.), and it worked! I was THRILLED to see my dog recover, and I was able to enjoy years with her after that. I had two dogs at that time, and about a year later, the other dog came down with the same thing (but she walked in the opposite direction in circles). I took her to Orr Animal Hospital, and she too recovered as well. I could give you more stories, but suffice it to say that I value and appreciate them! I highly recommend!

Dr. Orr is not taking in new p...

Amazing!

Dr. Orr is not taking in new patients. However, they made an exception since my dog's breeder is a client of his for years. My dog was gonna die if I hadn't taken him there. I had been taking him to Banfield Pet Hospital for several weeks without seeing any improvements. My puppy had bladder stones and couldn't urinate and his blood became inflamed due to toxins. He would have died and my bank account been drained if I kept taking him to Banfield. I was under so much emotional distress and desperate! Dr. Orr received us at 9pm and did surgery on my dog first thing in the morning. He kept him there under observation for a week. I thank God for people like him who truly love what they do and have sensibility with animals.

I have been bringing my pets t...

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Orr's for over 20 years and will never go anywhere else. I have lived as far as 2hrs away and still ended up going to Orr's because I could not find a local veterinarian that had the facilities, pricing and professionalism that Orr's has. I know when I go that they are not going to try to reem me for every penny, they are going to tell me the facts and let me make the decision that is best for my pet and myself. I LOVE the fact that they have the lab and surgical center RIGHT THERE!!! No going in and then waiting for the blood results to come back... The vet can look at what's going on right then and there... getting treatment to your animal so much more quickly than most offices. They also are one of the few vets that do ALL species, so they truely help you take care of all of your furry or feathered family... even scaley family. It is true that they have not taken new clients since January 2006; So I feel lucky to be one of the 70,000 current patients. Because of the Orr family... I have been able to afford proper veterinary care for all of my animals... something that I may not have been able to do in this economy otherwise. Everyone at Orr's loves animals and it is truely a family business and I LOVE that!

Orr Animal Hospital Does Have Appointments

Orr Animal Hospital is staffed by caring professionals. They have started to take appointments however they are not taking new patients as of this date. They do open their practice occasionally and do maintain a waiting list. With 70K patients, they must be doing something right. I have found their service is outstanding and their prices are more than reasonable. If you compare their rates to other vets in the area, they are a true bargain hense the 70K patient roster and waiting list.

You get what you pay for

Their prices may be a bit cheaper but their support staff is atrocious. After waiting hours on end we were treated terribly and were told nasty things about our pets that were totally not true. From now on I will save a bit more money for the yearly vet bill and will be going elsewhere.

Excellent care

Dr. Redmond has been amazing. He has helped with my two aging pets in a caring, sensitive way. He referred me to a specialist when needed for one and helped me say goodbye to the other.

The cost of care is so amazing inexpensive, but you do learn to go early or go on weekdays. My usual time there is three to four hours, but the vet spends as much time as needed. Very happy both with quality of care and pricing!!
