Established in 1968, Dave's Marketplace is one of the largest, locally owned and operated independent grocery chains in Rhode Island. It offers home baked breads, rolls, cakes, cupcakes and pies, as well as provides boxed lunch options. The chain maintains a butcher shop that provides beef, veal, lamb and pork. Dave's Marketplace operates a division, Dave's Gift Baskets, which offers cheese platters, fresh fruit selections, entrees, appetizers, and party sandwiches and platters. It provides event planning and catering services for business functions, casual dinners and private parties. The chain also has a floral shop and gift store, as well as offers gift cards. Dave's Marketplace additionally operates in-store kitchens.
