Sequoia Automatic, founded in 1958, is a manufacturer of machined components for the automotive industry. Originally founded as a screw machine shop, through the 1980s, the company transformed from a single- and multiple-spindle screw machine shop into a manufacturer using high-tech computerized numerical control vertical machining centers, and robotic loading. It is a Tier II and III manufacturer of metal stampings and assemblies for the automotive industry. Sequoia Automatic specializes in auto air conditioning system connectors, machined from net-shaped blanks sawed from extruded aluminum bars. It has more than 30 vertical machining centers, equipped with indexing tables. It provides its products to original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket global consumers. Sequoia Automatic is located in Crystal Lake, Ill.
