The YMCA of McHenry County offers adventure, aquatic, preschool and child care programs. Founded in 1964, the organization s facilities include a gymnasium, racquetball courts, and weight, cardiovascular and multipurpose rooms. It provides swimming lessons to children, teenagers, youths and adults. The YMCA of McHenry County s before- and after-school child care programs provide social, emotional and recreational activities. The organization s day camp includes outdoor education, sports, character development program, and arts and crafts. It supports several sports activities, such as basketball, football, soccer, tae kwon do and judo. Located in Crystal Lake, Ill., the YMCA of McHenry County s adventure program includes bowling, rollerskating and daddy-daughter dance.
