- Primary CareDr. Brown grew up in West Virginia and graduated from Hurricane High School in 2005. He then went on to West Virginia University where he earned a biology degree in 2008 and his MD degree in 2013. From there, Dr. Brown came to Cincinnati to join the pediatric residency program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he completed training in June 2016. While there, he was in the primary care track with a specific emphasis on experiences pertinent to an office-based general pediatrician. He then practiced at a Cincinnati private practice before joining this group in July 2023. He takes particular interest in mental health, newborn care, and preventive medicine.
- Ear InfectionsColds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.
- Emergency CareKeeping us informed - In order to effectively serve as your child's medical home, we must have comprehensive patient information such as medications (including over the counter), medical history, health status, recent tests, self care information, and any visits to facilities outside of Pediatric Associates (including hospitalizations, ED visits, specialty visits or urgent care visits). We also need to know if there are changes to your health insurance information. Please inform us if there are any changes in your child's health at each encounter (phone or office visit).
