There is nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh bacon, looking out the window and seeing over a foot of fresh powder at one of Colorado's greatest ski resorts, Crested Butte. The only thing better than the skiing was the food and accommodations at the Ruby.There are 3 essential components to a great B&B: 1. The Bed. You have to have an overly comfortable bed that you never want to get out of. 2. The Breakfast. The menu needs to be fresh, nutritious and creative. 3. The Inn Keepers. The owners or managers need to be attentive, interesting, fun and friendly. I must say that Andrea and Chris excel in all of these criteria and much more. Staying at the Ruby we felt as if we were staying at our really good friends house (who knew how to serve up a great breakfast). If you are staying in Crested Butte, summer, winter...whenever you have to stay here. It is walking distance from downtown CB and right next to the bus stop that takes you to the mountains.
