The Housing Authority of Covington, Kentucky was started in 1937 and works to provide housing opportunities for individuals and families. It employs a staff of more than 50 full-time personnel and operates over 900 apartments. The authority maintains an operations department that is responsible for day-to-day processes pertaining to admissions, the determination of continued eligibility and property management. The Housing Authority of Covington, Kentucky also has a resident services department that identifies and creates opportunities for residents to actively improve themselves through educational, health and recreational programs. Its maintenance department provides services for the regular repair and maintenance of houses within the community. The authority s department of finance is responsible for budgeting, appropriating, obligating, and expending funds.
