I am a first time, working, single mother. I am also a teacher and know specific things to look for when reviewing centers to send my child to. This is a family owned and operated daycare center and has been open since the 1970's. First, if there was any issue with this facility in terms of upkeep, child education or treatment, I don't believe that they still would be in business. The claims made by a couple people are absolutely false. My son has attended Kiddie Castle since the age of 4 months. He is now 10 months old. There has never been a time where I have observed him unhappy at this establishment. Every morning, the owners are there to greet my son and I. Every day he smiles and is happy to see him. Their food is HOME COOKED, unlike some of the newer facilities where it is shipped in and microwaved, loaded with GMOs. I could not imagine sending my son to any other daycare. My friends and colleagues attended when they were younger and all recommended. I am very pleased!

ANONYMOUS sounds like to me you got let go and now you are trying to drag these good folks name through the mud. I went there as a child and my children go there now and these people are great and do this because they love kids. They must if they have been doing it since 1972. So do not tell lies on the great people.

Horrible place! Do not let your children go here! They do not truly care about your children. The food is horrible! They do not allow the children to play with the good toys, and the place is not cleaned correctly! I use to work here, and I would not lie. This is not a good place for your children to go.

I went to Kiddie Castle as a child too and because both my parents worked a lot, I spent the majority of my childhood in this center. All I can say is, Mrs. Joyce and Mr. Ludie were wonderful with us. I had Ms. Valerie, Ms. Leola, and Ms. Pauly and they were all wonderful to me. The food they served was homemade and as an adult, I still crave those grits! We did play outside often as well as inside. We were always engaged in an activity and they were always purchasing new things for the center for us as kids. I started going to the nursery as an infant and stayed in it until we moved from Covington when I was in second grade. I remember they would bring us in from outside and give us all rags to wash up with and they would always serve snacks and made sure we were always taken care of. This center was a great center when I was a child. I will never forget the staff there who made this place a second home for me.

I have never visited the Kiddie Castle campus. However, I must say that from the outside it looks very well kept. I also wanted to add that I have driven by the facility many times and have seen for myself the children out playing in their nice playground. The children all looked very happy and well tended to. I will be visiting Kiddie Castle soon as I search for a daycare for my daughter.

I have know Mrs. Joyce and Mr. Ludie for years I went to kiddie castle as a child and I also send my child to them to take care of. The person who said the horrible things about them must have had a child they had to put out or was a employee they had to let go. You can enter the center at any time and talk with the teachers because you have to take you child in and sign them in and out. They do go out and play. Kiddie castle has one of the nicest and largest playground in covington. They have been around for over 40 year because like I said I went as a child. The place is older but they are in the process of repainting and putting down new flooring. They also are redoing the playgrounds. THIS PLACE IS A OLDER PLACE BUT IT HAS GOOD OLD FASHION VALUES NOT THE GLITZ AND GLAMOUR OF SOME OF THE NEWER PLACES. Do you want you child well taken care of or to just go to a place that has a nice appearance on the outside and no love and care on the inside?

Funny you should say this I went to this day care as a child and send my kids now. I am very pleased with the place and to say what you just said about it is way out of line. Sounds like to me you do not know what you are talking about. What difference does it make the color of the worker if they take great care of the kids? The place is a older building but they are in the process of updating it. And it is very clean. I think you should watch what you say when what you are saying is not true.

this day care center needs to be banned, the children do not go out side you can not talk to the teachers on a one on one and you can ask food depot about all the jello they buy along with the raviola and grits they serve daily with that little nasty dog in the office and she never wash her hands. All empoyees are black. she try to keep the parents from comming on the inside.
