Ficquett Elementary, operated by Newton County Schools, is an elementary school for students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Located in Covington, Ga., the school has an annual enrolment of more than 700 students. It offers instruction in a wide range of academic areas. Ficquett Elementary also offers a variety of programs, such as happy faces volunteer program, pals teams and English language learners program. The school also offers various other programs, including basic literacy test for reading, character education and gifted students programs, accelerated reader, learning focused school, instructional extension and running club programs. It arranges various student organizations and clubs, such as girl scouts, honor chorus, junior beta club, flag corps and enrichment club. The school also offers special education programs, and services for vision, speech and hearing. It has a range of facilities for students, including a media center, cafeteria, gymnasium, computer laboratory, and music and art rooms.
